I have a motorola clutch my phone was sitting on the able when it lit up! when i grabbed it and looked at it, it restarted itself then the screen said insert sim but the sim card is already in it!
Your problem could be with the sim card, with the sim interface on the phone and or sim ic on the circuit board.
1. First, let's check the sim card, switch off the phone > remove the sim card > clean it properly using a small ball of cotton dipped in alcohol or acetone, > let it dry > Now put the same sim card on another mobile > if it's working then go to next step, if it's not, then the problem is with your sim card. You need another replacement.
2. Now clean the sim interface/connector on the mobile using cotton dipped in alcohol or acetone, After they are dried, insert the sim card and power on the phone. How is it? Is it working now? Let's hope................ go.. yes it's working. Oops, it's not, then next step.. 3. Open it apart and clean whatever is possible, [use a soft brush with alcohol or acetone to clean the components]. When everything's dried, assemble it an insert the sim card again. If it's not successful. Your last option is to get it done from a mobile repairing shop or from a servicing center. They will check the phone on the computer using the specific software and hardware, then they will handle with your mobile's hardware, possibly sim ic and sim connector.
