I have a MS270,Stihl. It runs for around 5 minutes then shuts off. I take the air filter off and and replace it then it starts again. The area around the air filter is damp with fuel
Sounds like splash back from carb . Can be several things. first would clean carb or replace. That may just solve the powering down part. Or it can be that it is running way to lean and just overheating the saw. Try to adjust carb till it blubbers , and then turn back till it runs well. To lean and it will burn up the engine.
