I have a new electrolux el7025a-r and it keeps cutting off while I am vacuuming. I am using the small powerhead on hard floors and I have checked the hoses for blockages and the bag is new. I can not figure out why it keeps turning off in the middle of a job

The wands are notorious for going out on that unit. One or both probably need to be replaced. Try to get it done under warranty if you still have the receipt, but they shouldn't cost you too much if you can't.
