I have a nexxtech DR30G0 with a durabrand remote control HT-395. The remote does not seem to comand the system at all. the system works fine manualy. Note the system just taken out of syorage after two years. DID the obvious battery check in the remote they are new still nothing. I don't understand why the two different model between remote and system? But it did work new out of the box? Battery in system for remote? I'm confused
Audio Players & Recorders - NexxTech - (DR30G0) System
Hi, My suggestion is that the remote may be a universal one ..,that was supplied for this system...Being stored for 2 years ..it is obvious that the batteries went out of juice ...so ...in case it had a code in the memory for the system to fit...it is lost ...Now all you need its try to see what codes are available for this kinda device ....Its the same like in tv'es and universal remotes....That code make it aware the frequency ....so ...try to find someone that knows how to insert it ...and the code look for it on a google seach ...(universal remotes codes...for......)
there is nothing to be confused about, the problem might be from the remote. Check the position where the battery stays on the remote, you will see a metal with spring. If this metal and spring is rust, the battery will not be able to power the remote and it won't work.
So check this metal and if there is any rust, scratch the metal or replace the metal with a naked wire so that there can be contact.
Also, the remote sensor of the system can cause the problem. But I don't want to believe that's where the problem is coming from, I'm only try to give you possible reasons for the problem.
So check the remote battery area and check if its rust. If that's not where the fault is coming from, then remote might need to be replaced as its not functioning with the system.
Sorry earlier your program was not allowing me to respond. The battery compartment is in perfect condition. The two different brands seems a bit odd doesn't it? But it did work before I put it away. The remote is for a lesser brand also. there is no dvd control yet a dvd drive exists.and so on. Why is there a durabrand remote controling a nexxtech devise? But within the speaker assortment thre is one durabrand and 6 nexxtech. I am an A tech in the automotive field so you can talk tech with me. My thought is get a remote exclusively for the nexxtech DR30G0. But it worked before I think? I really do not remember the dvd player in the unit. But ^ out of the 7 speakers say nexxtech?!?! Why doesn't the remote and system brands match?Sorry earlier your program was not allowing me to respond. The battery compartment is in perfect condition. Good luck.
