I have a Noritz Tankless outside my home on wall for several years. Works fantastic until now. Controller is going blank intermittently. Able to restart after resetting GFCI, plugging and replugging. On for several hours then off again

It sounds like your GFI is tripping. There are two common reasons for this to happen 1) plugged into another GFI 2) moisture on the gfi. I'd look for evidence of a water leak which is tripping your gfi. Look for puddles, water spotting, water hardness, etc.
