connect powered speakers to jack 6 line out.
green jack on most. is that. green means out.
tell helper what sound device you have,
1 common answer is I have some powered speakers. called xyz
then if dead. we make sure speakers work on PC #2 not this PC.
then we check w10 device manager for sound driver errors.
if yes, and I bet yes, due to 8 year age of this beast.
then finding w10 drivers can be hard.
the PC has tag. (sticker label)
this tag is the service tag and all numbers on it matter.
models /p/n and all.
this tells the helper what is inside and what drivers work.
The PC has sound chip that may or may not have windows 10 drivers. in most cases for sound they must come from PB
the sound chip is deeply in-meshed with the HDMI is why.
if the PC is not internet connected why expect w10 PnP to find the drivers, by MS automatic means. answer it can not.
