I have a pair of vintage 027 remote switches (right & left hand). When I flip the lever on the remotes, the track will only switch in one direction. I can't get it to go back

First reverse the remote wires and see if the switch track throws in the direction it didn't before. If it does then there is something wrong with the remote switch. If not, then you can wire the switch terminals directly to the power source and turn on the power and see if the switch throws. First do center and right terminals and then center and left terminals. If no sound or buzz the solenoid may be bad. If buzz then see if the rails are stuck and can't move. May need grease.
