I have a Patton Heater ( Brand New ) that was given to me. when I plug the heater in it lights up but the heater or fan does not come on. This heater has never been used. What could be causeing this?

One thing that I would do is to remove the back cover and make sure there are not any obstructions by fan motor or contacts for heating elements. Don't know where you are located but around here we have a real problem with mud dauber wasps getting in almost anywhere. I have had several power tools fail to work and upon disassembly have found nests. Thank you

Try spraying a LITTLE WD-40 on the fan bearings, with the heater unplugged, of course. You may have to remove the case to get access. Before you spray, try to spin the fan with your finger. Spray then try again with the finger. I think this will do it. If you don't have WD-40 ... try sewing machine or other light house hold oil.
