I'm going to include a link for the Owner's Manual in my response. You're going to need it to follow the directions in it to delete messages in your phone's inbox.
When you click on the link, (give the page a minute to load) and scroll down to page 64 of the manual. Locate the box that says: read messages.
At the bottom of this box are the instructions to delete messages in your Inbox.
