I have a problem with my Renault Megane 2004 model 1.6,when I try to start it shows steering lock on dashboard and when I take off the key it show steering not locked.please help me

If showing a lock and not starting the security /anti theft is active ---vehicle not reconizing key --problem can be worn defective key --ignition switch worn or damaged
