It should be if you hook something up to an input channel like w the band i was in i had to hook my turntables up to a microphone jack on an open channel . so yeah if u plug lets say a cd player plug the output of that into the input of the mackie and make sure you have your speakers in the output of mackie all set up and it should work no problem.
