I have a radio and the swr r the same on 1 and 40 but they r at 4 on the meter how do i get them down to 1 to 2 like they should be or can they stay there and not kill the radio i put a new line in and had a end put on it have no resistent in the line and have a good ground so i dont know what to do now

An SWR of 4:1 is extremely high.
DO NOT OPERATE THE RADIO until this problem is rectified! (Unless you have the money to purchase another radio...)
