I have a range that burned out an element. I put in a new element but it still doesn't work.My electrician says that it may be a control?I look for parts and they say that the part is not available. I do not know how to locate the control. The range has been in the wall for 30+ years. Any suggestions? It is an ECKNR 44-1 or 44-2
It is possible to be the control. I would need the part number off the original control. I can't guarantee I would have one. A picture of the old control will also help. Also, there could just be a wire burned off somewhere.
Different models come apart differently, and some wall units are a bit difficult. Without actually seeing the unit myself, I cannot say for sure how it comes apart. On the average unit, the control panel is held in place by screws accessed in the bottom front, up near the top of the oven. Open the oven door and have a look.
