There are two ways to do it, the first one would be to get the model number of your RCA remote and contact the rca.com website, select the accessories page and then click on universal remotes, there is a window where you type in your model and a listing of codes can be downloaded, the second is to try the code search procedure, which is fairly similar for all RCA universal remotes, press and hold the code search key untill the red light remains on, then press the TV key, after this press the power key once at a time untill the tv turns off, be carefull to give each time you press the power key sufficient time to activate the tv, otherwise you'll go over the code that works on your TV and you'll have to start again. This procedure puts out all the codes programmed into the remote's memory so you'll have to be patient.
