I have a Rex-607. I have used it twice sewing canvas for a boat enclosure. Now the needle will not pick up the bobbin thread. I have taken it apart, cleaned and oiled, adjusted the needle. Still all it does is poke holes in the fabric, does not sew at all. What is wrong????
Well, start by changing the needle. It is very likely to be worn.. and causing you a problem. Also take a look to see where the shuttle point ends up in relation to the needle when the needle is at it's lowest point.
The shuttle point should be just right behind and above the eye of the needle. If it is not... call a repair guy or your dealer for timing help.
