I have a riding yard machine mower. Had trouble starting without jumping the battery. Bought a new battery & it started right up. Mowed the front & side of the yard & shut it off to open my gate. Turned the key & nothing. Tried to charge & nothing. Tried to jump start with car & nothing. What is draining the batteries?

Check the fuse right by the battery
You might check the voltage regulator or your wire connections from your starter
Selonoid.....or battery connections.
Now you are describing 2 different problems... If you have nothing I doubt the battery is dead but would check for a safety switch problem. If it clicks or turns over slowly then we need to be looking at a bad connection or other issues... Please describe your problem better to let us help you solve it
