I have a Sanyo remote,RMT-U110,I entered the codes for the vcr,a broksonic mod.dvcr 810a,these codes do nothing for the vcr it wll not work

Most universal remotes that I have dealt with will not be able to fully control a combo unit(DVD/VCR) the basic functions of a VCR and DVD player are the same so the remote cannot isolate/diffrentiate the commands from one another. Good luck !
