Any progress with that problem? I have a Sega Saturn with this issue. I've tried cleaning the lens with isopropyl alcohol and adjust the laser unit power, but nothing works.Any progress with that problem? I have a Sega Saturn with this issue. I just figured out that my problem is in my modchip. When I connect the Ribbon Cable directly on the motherboard, my audio cds just plays fine. When I put the modchip in the Laser Ribbon Cable slot on the motherboard, and put the Ribbon Cable on the modchip, the sound vanishes.I just figured out that my problem is in my modchip. Dirty laser, failing laser. I'd try to clean the lens in a circular motion with a DRY q-tip.
Let me know if that works ;)
