I have a Sentry Safe S3877 both lights are on the red error light and the green proceed light. I enter passcode and nothing happens. How do I get by this?
Here are the things that can cause that: Red (Error) LED + three beeps indicates one of the following: 1. You have pressed Program key out of sequence. 2. You have entered an invalid code or user pin. 3. You have let 5 seconds or more elapse between key presses. 4. Lights after three consecutive invalid codes are input (2-minute delay mode).
Perhaps when you changed batteries the internal memory did not completely erased and the factory mode is not in place (even if they say the factory number should work at any time). Try to let the safe without battery for a whole hour.
If this don't work, you will have to contact them at: http://www.sentrysafe.com/customerCare/Contact_SentrySafe.aspx You will probably have to give them your serial number.
Of course, because an easy to open safe would not be useful in the first place, they have that policy about code: http://server.iad.liveperson.net/hc/s-24841635/cmd/kbresource/kb-5562978334380845442/view_question!PAGETYPE?sf=101133&documentid=195374&action=view But if you did try the code on the top of the manual and it's not working they might still help you as it's not as if you completely lost it
