She just needs clean up/out. remove it and take it apart and soak it in 50/50 mix of water and white vinegar (for an hour or two or use lime-a-way if you have it. Put it back together and you should be good to go. If that dosen't do it then you'll need to buy another one. At the money they want for these things they should have a warranty so you can check into that if you need a replacement.
