I have a sirius radio that I installed myself and I get alot of static on it. The CDs have been taken out and I have tried various FM channels and it is still pretty bad. A previous expert told me that it is not hooked up to the antenna and that is the problem but according to Sirius it is an antenna itself and does not need to be...any suggestions?
Hi, Try 87.9 if you can, it's completely open unless you live very close to a TV station on Channel 6. You can't drive hundreds of miles without getting interference on any channel, but 87.9 works best. www.radio-locator.com has a tool that shows you which frequencies are clear. The best thing to do is tune up the dial till you find a frequency that is completely static (and preferable the stations 0.2 Mhz away also static), and use that. It’s help u. Good luck! And Thanks.
