I have a small Grundfos attached to a 10,000l water tank. The pump was totally submersed in the recent Brisbane floods. I hosed it out with fresh water, took the cover off and have let it dry out for two weeks. I turned it on today and the 'on' and 'supply' lights came on, the 'failure' light did not, however the pump did not start up. Any ideas??
The next thing that I would try would be if it is possible, try to get either the motor end or the impellar end to rotate by hand, using a screwdriver or other tool. Maybe the bearings are somewhat rusted/seized together. If you can do it by hand, then it may work electrically. Don't do anything by hand while it is powered up. Let me know, Gary
