I have a small Orion TV, model TV 1334A. Everytime I move the darn thing I have to set it up again! Hope you have directions I can print out, this drives me nuts!!! I can't afford another TV right now. [email protected]
I have not worked on your model. I will answer genericaly:
If you are not used to doing TV service you will have to give the set to a TV service center to fix this.
On many of these types of sets on the main board or a daughter board there is a silver oxide battery that is like a calculator battery.
If you are able to work on the set, open it up and look for this battery. If there is a battery in your set, take note of the number on it. You can get one and then replace it.
If your set is a model that does not use a battery, there are two other ways memory is held. Some models use a gold leaf capacitor. It will take TV service experience to be able to locate and change this capacitor. This type of cap would be a special order from a parts supplier.
The other method is they store the setup in an EPROM. In this case the EPROM or the uPC can have a fault. In this case servicing the set would be not feasible.
