I have a sporadic problem of gate not closing sometimes, this does not happen all the time.. Maybe a couple times a week. I have to break the sensor beam to make it shut. Any ideas would be helpful

Change the sensor beam.
The sensor beam should not control it shutting, i have looked that up already. thanks though
If it is malfunctioning can control it's shutting. Try taking off the sensor and test the gate.
