I have a Sylvania SMPK4230 (4 GB), and I'm wondering what the eBook does. And if I am able to read books like I think, how am I able to download them onto it?

The instructions for the ebook capability are on page 16.
Ebooks in text format, that is files with a .txt suffix are mentioned as being supported.
You can copy .txt files onto the device just as you can copy music or video files.
The player will display print on the screen for reading when you access those files.
I personally download ebooks to my computer and copy the ones i want to read on the go to my media player.
Other ebook filetypes are.lit, .htm, epub, and .pdf among others, but there is no mention in the manual if these are supported.
There are ebook conversion programs that you can run on your computer to convert to a type you can use.
What if you have already converted to .txt format and it only takes the first three pages of the book?
