Hello, Thanks for answering my questions. It sounds to me like your oven's safety valve is going bad. There have been many times when I am at a customer's house and it has been a while since they used the oven, and it seems to take forever to light the oven. Just tapping the oven safety valve with a wrench or handle of a screw driver is all that's needed to open the valve and light the burner. As long as your oven's igniter glow bar is lighting, (glowing orange or sparking), then the oven safety valve is your problem. It is a silver rectangular valve in the far back bottom of the oven with the orifice on top of it and the burner tube coming down over the orifice. Try tapping it and see if that works. Otherwise, just have it replaced. Douglas
