I have a te20 tractor and the 3point hitch won't lift or go down . why ?
Hydraulics did work to lift the hitch but then would not lower it without a lot of weight and then only slowly . Now takes 10 minutes to raise and lowering is the same .

This has the same type of hydraulic system that was on our Ford Ferguson on the farm when I was a kid in the 50's. I remember my dad having problems and having to access the hydraulic system by removing the top cover. Before you start to take it apart, make sure you have the correct hydraulic fluid level.

The bits and pieces get complicated but if you take your time you should be able to determine where the problem is. WATCH YOUR FINGERS! There are pinch points in there.
The hydraulic control valve for the hitch is not opening correctly, take it apart and clean it
