I have a Teledyne Laars spa heater XE Electronic, ES 125 ; Question, The spa and heater was drained and cleaned about two years ago, I want to get running again, But before I fill the 500 gallon spa , Is it passible to run the Natural gas heater just for a check to see if it will fire up without having water flowing through it ?? Locate the pressure switch within the safety circuit and jump the two wires that are connected to it. Be sure the power is off when doing so. Then you can power up the unit and it should fire assuming all the remaining safety circuit switches are closed. DO NOT RUN this for more than a few moments as you can damage the heat exchanger rather quickly operating the burners without water flowing thru the heater.

Thank you John224, I thought it would have something to do with the pressure switch But I didn't have a clue how I could simulate that there is water flowing through the exchanger , I don't know that there is anything wrong with the heater, it has been shut down more than two years , Just cleaned heater and spa and want to test it before filling and priming the pumps ; I will do as you said , I know where the switch is located : )
