I have a Toshiba 52" DLP. Last night TV worked fine. Tonight the screen is black but the sound is still on. The red light on the bottom panel stays on when I turn it on and after a few seconds the green light next to it flashes between 7-10 times and the set turns off for a few seconds and then comes back on. Is my lamp out?

It certainly sounds like the lamp is bad. Not done, but close. Generally when a dlp tv has these kind of issues it is the lamp. Is it six years old or there abouts? That is about the time they go with normal viewing. Even if it isn't the lamp it doesn't hurt to have a spare around because sooner or later the lamp will go.
