I have a trc 457 that will not modulate on AM. It also will not produce sound at the speaker on AM or SSB although the signal strength meter works on AM and singal sideband. It will modulate on transmit SSB upper and lower but will not produce sound at the speaker in receive. It will click in the speaker when I turn it on or off
