I have a unit with a burnt transformer the original transformer has a red blue black on one side and a black with white stripes yellow and red on the other while the replacement has a green and red on one side and a white black red and orange on the other how should it be wired
Heating & Cooling - Intertherm - P3RC-030K Air Conditioner
Hi, I have a suggestion here that might help. Contact the manufacturer to get an exact replacement sent to you. The manufacturer is Nordyne. Nordyne makes the same unit and private labels it for other companies, like Sears, Westinghouse, Intertherm, etc. Without out the correct color codes identifying the correct secondary (24Volt ) labeling of the wires the colors are meaningless. The colors of the original transformer wires are coded for the original Air Conditioning diagram that was packaged with it. The only standard coloring found on any transformer is for the primary side. i.e. 120 Volts 60 Hz Alternating Current. Those colors are Black for Hot and White for Neutral (or return). If you get the transformer from Nordyne or a distributed for their products, Installing the new one will be very easy. Here is the link to Nordyne http://www.nordyne.com/web/ContactUs.aspx Hope this helps, Best Regards, Mark
