I have a Vacu Queen V3000 and it stopped working in the middle of a job. I verified that I have power at the outlet that it plugs into and then checked motor resistance from the plug and I got about 600 ohms. What is the problem?
EMRS, Hahah the same thing happened to mine... the lid cracked and I used PL Construction adhesive, it has held for a year, but needs constant gluing. Where can I buy a new lid relatively cheaply? Can't find one in Canada.
Recently had the same problem after 9 nine years of good service with my V3000. My filter was glogged even though the canister was relatively empty. Problem was that top wasn't fitting into filter properly because the protuding part of top (which fits into top of filter) was cracked all the way around. I repaired it with epoxy glue and hope to get a couple more years out it before replacing top part. It now works fine again. RS
As a quick test Plug in the vac again and turn on the switch, then try your power head. If the head works you have a motor problem, if the head doesn't you likely have a cord problem. You seem to be saying it failed while running??? which generally indicates your switch is the suspect. Check the motor for a worn or sticking carbon brush. Motor is access by removing the chrome lid and 3 screws under the handle., then removing the paper cone and unscrewing the center screw a t he bottom of the plastic.cone cage...
