I have a viewsonic v1716w when turn on it works fine after 15 mins a horizontal black bar appears at the bottom of the screen .wanted to know if its the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply are faulty or its another problem ? please help . thanks

The power supply caps will be the first thing to check, then also check for steady 5vdc and 12vdc.
The problem can also be in the T-CON board (part of the LCD panel).
