I have a Vocopro CDG-8000PRO karaoke CD player thats been used twice it has been sitting for a couple years keeped clean and dry for some reason the CD will only twitch on both players i took the top off and give each CD some help to start turning they both continued turning & both played great until i shut down the unit and left it over night now its doin the same thing ive cleaned the laser eye they did not appear dirty thied them again samething just twitched help them start they played one took a little more coaxing to get it to continue to play. Any idea what could be at issue i dont believe they went bad at same time with same problem and so little use?

It does actually appear that both drives failed at the same time or that they both got dust and debris in the playing mechanism... if you have some canned air or a compressor give it a good "shot" with some high pressured air directly into the cd "drive" mechanism. The center part that actually turns to spin the cd.
Otherwise you will want to look into getting replacement drives for this player. It is actually quite likely that the lack of use is what did these drives in. They have little ball bearings inside that spin to spin the CD and sitting idle without use is actually worse in some cases then having regular use... does that make sense? Even though I'm sure it was "dry" I am sure there was some kind of humidity that is unavoidable.. that gets in the mechanism and jams it up a bit ... You can try a tiny bit of WD-40 or similar sprayed directly into that drive mechanism as well and it could very well free it up.
Thanks, let me know if you have any questions or concerns, just reply to my answer here and I will be right back with you.
