I have a White Rodgers digital thermostat .I do not have the manual.I am getting a lo battery message. How do I replace the battery? Does it come off the wall or is there an easy way to open it? I dont want to take a chance of damaging it

The outer shell of the thermostat pushes on(clips) to mounting bracket attached to wall.
1. Remove the packing material from the thermostat. Gently
pull the cover straight off the base. Forcing or prying on
the thermostat will cause damage to the unit
