If you have anyting else plugged into it, take these items out. Anything that you can remove, you should before you try to power it back on. I have seen these units fail over very short periods of time for no reason.
Usually the amber light indicates it is not getting a video signal. It could be the board in the display terminal or its not getting a signal from its source.
