I have an 00 mitsubishi eclipse gt and it won't start I was going 45 and it died I put a new fuel pump in and distributor cap and rotor. Found out I have no spark but the timing belt is still in tact

Crank or cam position sensor more than likely I would say crank position sensor if cam sesor goes out the crank sensor with take over but not other way around
Ok but would that cause it to died while I'm driving?
