I have an alpine cda 9886, when i pug in my i pod to the usb connector attempting to play it the screen displays an device error message...could it be a driver issue with the i pod or what is another solution possibility?

The sterio hase to be more advanced then the ipod when was the softwer of the ipod made go to www.alpine-usa.com to verifi if the sterio is copatible with the ipod
