I have an ALTEC LANSING speaker system with my PC. The specifications of the power adapter was 18V and 650milliamp output. The adapter is now unserviceable,I got a replacement adapter which is 18V and 1Amp max output.Will it work?will it damage the speakers?

I wasn't getting any replies to my queries when requesting help through the web site then someone forwarded me the following
Contact: [email protected] , seems to be manager customer care I got a reply within 24 hrs and a new one was shipped to my UK address within 58 , awesome service ! :D
If the voltage and the polarity is the same, it will be fine. with amps, you want AT LEAST as many as the old adapter, or more.
more amps will not hurt, but more volts would hurt.
