I have an American Greetingts CreataCard program I bought several years ago. Just tried to download it on my Windows 7 computer and it said it was not compatible. When I had it on my old computer it was fine. Is there a way to get around this, or do AI have to buy a new program?

There may be a workaround or two. First, Win7 wants a different installer. Try running the installer in a Compatability mode (right click on the exe, choose properties, click on the Compatability tab and put a check in the box for run this program in the compatability mode, use the drop down to choose the latest OS that you know will run the program, then right click again on the program and choose run as administrator). If your new computer uses 64-bit Win7, this is even less likely to work. Microsoft needs signed files in 64-bit. Do the same compatability with the program if it installs.
If that doesn't work, try installing a virtual computer with an OS that runs the program in your Win7 machine (The free XP mode is available in Win7 Pro and Ultimate. It takes two downloads from Microsoft to install the computer and then install the program as if the XP mode was the only computer.)
Otherwise, upgrade the program. (The Microsoft compatability center gives information pending on the program.)

I hope this helps.
