I have an ancient 254xp husky which runs exeptionally well but recently the half throttle mechanism on starting has stopped working and I cannot see why
The part throttle is actuated by the choke pull, the choke shaft on the carb has a white plastic arm that contacts and locks the throttle shaft, the arm is sprung loaded so when the trigger is pressed the arm jumps off, so you need to look at the arm, as it is plastic it can wear and then not engage with the throttle shaft.
There's clearly a problem with the choke lever and or carb end interior, cleaning might solve the problem if not I'll replace the carb, thanks for your inputThere's clearly a problem with the choke lever and or carb end interior, cleaning might solve the problem if not I'll replace the carb, thanks for your input
