I have an ASUS 1005 HA Seashell netbook, and i am trying to source a rgb cable thats compatible with this machine, in order to send a display to my LCD TV. The problem is that the netbook shell construction has no pin entry points and a regular rgb connector does not fit properly. Any ideas ?

You need a DB15pin male VGA to DB15pin male VGA cable - you cannot use rgb with this netbook. This type of VGA cable is available on Amazon at a very good price and at many different lengths.
D'oh - read my prior post and I made an assumption about your external LCD monitor and should have told you to get an SVGA cable, so let me try again. What I meant is you need a video cable that has the correct connector for your Asus 1005HA on one end and the correct connector for your LCD monitor on the other. SVGA cables are backward compatible with VGA, can be obtained with the same connectors and are built to higher standards re shielding and quality so you should get SVGA. I posted a link to a good article explaining the differences at the end of this post. The Asus 1005HA has a standard VGA connector, also known as a female D-sub 15 pin, or HD15 or HDDB15 or DB15 - so one end of your SVGA cable has to have a male D-sub 15 pin connector. In case you don't know this, female connectors have holes, male connectors have pins (LOL), in this case 14 pins and 15 holes. Look at your LCD monitor to see what connector it has - most likely it also has a female D-sub 15 pin connector. If your LCD monitor has the same connector as your netbook, than the other end of the cable should also be a male DB15 connector, also known as male HD15.
I suggest getting a triple-shielded cable that supports high resolution anyway to take full advantage of your monitor. Also, if your lcd monitor has good built in speakers, you may want to buy a good 3.5 mm shielded stereo audio cable, or a combined video/audio cable. Depending on length, they are very inexpensive on Amazon.
Here is a link to an example male SVGA to male SVGA cable with stereo audio that appears to be properly shielded. I am in no way recommending this cable or the seller as I have no experience of either; the link is just to give you an idea of what I was talking about.
