I have an asus p5vdc-mx motherboard and I installed 2 separate Kingston 1gb ddr2 Ram (total 2gb ddr2 ram) but the system info only says 1024mb ram why isn't it showing 2048 - i have already check both rams in separate slots and it still won't only showing 1024mb ram. What can I do get it to use both rams?

Maybe you need to take the ram out and reinstall it the board may pick both sticks then. or go to bios and make sure all your dramm settings are on auto
What os are your using? XP, Vista, Win 7?) Also, was this a new motherboard and what type of case are you using? Lastly, I would recommend you checking your BIOS and make sure there are no limits set on the memory cap. (Usually found in older system but check anyway.)
