I have an ATV Polaris Sportsman 800 that will not go into 4WD while in reverse with the over ride button pressed in. It did not work one day then worked the next and now seems to be out for good. 4 WD works fine in forward. It seems to be electrical however, i did replace the over ride switch and that did not help. Thanks

The over RIDE button is not used for shifting.
it is used to over RIDE the REV LIMETER while in reverse ( for applications such as plowing)
shifting into 4wd while moving is safe on some vehicles, but can cause catastrophic damage on others.
be ABSOLUTELY sure your vehicle is designed for SHIFT ON THE FLY .
If you aren sure, then come to a complete stop befor shifting.
