I have an cub cadet rtz 50 briggs and stratton 26hp motor. I'm trying to take off the starter. I got the bolt closest to the oil spout off. The other one is a booger. Its so close to the round part of the starter that you cant get a socket on the bolt. No room to get a wrench. I considered pulling the fly wheel but surely there's an easier way to get that sucker off... Please help
I've always pulled the flywheel off, the last thing you want happening is that bolt backing out because you couldn't get it torqued tight enough after you replaced it. That backed out bolt can do a lot of damage not only to the flywheel but to your new starter as well.
