I have an Ele flx2210 Tv. It turns on, the word Element appears across the screen, but then it goes black. The sound still works. How can I fix this problem?

It sounds like the backlight inverter problem, look to see if you do have 24vdc feeding the inverter board, if you do not have this, then look at the power supply for bad caps with bulging tops.
