I have an Electrolux EWF 1481 front loading washing machine which will not fill. I have tried turning off power and resetting and and cleared filter. We have had this problem befor and the service man came and typed in some codes which instantly fixed it, but would not tell us what these were

Make sure that the waste hose is at least as high as the top of the machine. If it is lower then the water will run out of the machine as it is filled
