I have an Electrolux icon floor model. I set it to clean after pulling the racks, the lock light came on but nothing happened. I left it for about 15 mins and still nothing. I turned off the clean cycle and now the door won't unlock
RKBowan's answer fixed the problem of the flashing red remove "racks" light for me, with one slight variation. I tried several of the other suggestions- turning off the power, putting the racks back in and taking them back out, cleaning what holds the racks- nothing worked. Bowan's answer described cleaning a sensor that was on the top left side of the bracket that holds the racks. I tried that, still nothing, BUT then I put the two side wall racks back in, making sure they were very firmly and properly in place. I then removed then, turned on the clean cycle, and FINALLY success!
On the E30EW85ESP3 model I had to pull the racks "and" the supports mounted on the side walls. Otherwise it would not allow the clean cycle to begin. Hope this helps.
