I have an EMachines VL33 motherboard on a T4852 Desktop. The machine will accept 1GB DIMMs and has 4 slots. Why do I see all configrators saying ti has a 2GB memory limit?
Fitted to Gateway computers as I recall. It is something to do with the density of the Ram being higher than the chipset will support. (when using newer ram). In theory, you can fill all slots with 512Mb modules to get the 2GB capacity, but I seriously question the claims of 2GB max capacity and fear that you will only get 256 x 4 modules to give you 1 GB *the board is very old)
