I have an old timberwolf quad which I use for work. (fields mud etc)Bought it a couple of years ago and am slowly getting it into better order. Tried to remove rear brake drum but can't move the castleated nut that holds it in place. YES I have removed the split pin! it does'nt show any rust. Have tried heating it and soaking in oil> What can you please suggest??? Desperate Mike
Use an impact driver with a deep reach five point socket or a breaker bar with a deep reach five point socket. The 5 point socket has no chance of rounding the corners and either way should do the job. I prefer the impact driver method.
